Rocky Road

Sometimes as I walk the journey God has put before me I stumble and fall. I am so busy and in a hurry to get where I am going, I don’t stop and pick up the obstacles that cause me to slip and fall. What a “Dufus” I am, if only I stopped and took the time to pick up the the stuff that so easy entangles me and throw it away. Once again the enemy has bamboozled me I am so busy being busy I am blinded at what lies ahead. If I would just stop, look up, follow and listen I could make the next journey a little easier.

Why is it we walk ahead of Jesus so filled with pride thinking “we got this one” as we pass him on the way. We need to be so totally dependent on the one who walked the journey long ago and cleared a path for us to walk. Not only did God send his son to show us the way, he gave us the Spirit to keep us from getting lost.

Our God is always there he has our back but we are like children demanding our way. God never promised a clear and safe journey he promised to help us through it. He knows what we can climb and is always there to to take us through it. Adoption is a hard road but God will clear the road we just have to walk behind him.

1 Peter 4:19

19 So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.

Doesn’t that give you hope!!!
